An Artist’s Advice, Part III: Emily Jeffords
I went to school with Emily during my undergraduate studies in Fine Art, and I always admired her use of thick impasto paint, her fresh choice of subject matter, and her creativity. I had the opportunity to interview Emily on the continuing topic of marketing and making it as an artist in today’s economy, and she had some exciting ideas to share. One in particular was the launch of her blog, where she displays one painting she does for each day of this year, and sells it for the number of the day it was created on (for instance, Day 6 painting will be $6.00). This is a beautiful. indeed

Interesting concept. Duration pieces are always a challenging mentally to complete. Great job Emily! Matti

Hi Emily, you have a really interesting blog! I lovvve the Degas images you chose! One thing.. when I ‘surf’ blogs, I usually check to see the date of the last entry, which saves me from getting excited about a blog which hasn’t been updated in, like, 6 months (it happens!). So…. I couldn’t find your ‘date’ till I went to comment.
Anyway, keep up the good work. Thanks so much for sharing your favorite artists!
